Studying Xero with Auckland College
Auckland College has been providing Xero accounting courses for over 5 years. It is one of the best known Xero providers. Upon completing your course, you will get a certificate of completion from Auckland College. This can be mentioned on and added to your CV.
Is it available internationally?
Yes. Whilst many of our students are in New Zealand and Australia, we are able to accept enrolments from international students who wish to study.
How do I receive the certificate?
Included in your course is a free digital certificate. For an optional printed copy sent to you this would cost $25 within New Zealand or Australia.
Are the courses online?
Yes. Our courses are delivered online through our digital classroom.
Is there a fixed timetable of classes/lecture to attend online?
No. Our courses are self paced. This means they are conveniently accessed when you want to access them.
What is the maximum time to complete a course?
Our current course offerings allow you a maximum of 4 1/2 months to complete the course. This means you can study conveniently around your other commitments. We do find that students can comfortably complete it part time or full time sooner than that.
Do I need to buy accounting software such as Xero or MYOB to complete the accounting course?
No. Our accounting courses can be completed whether or not you own Xero or MYOB. There is no requirement to use or buy the software. However, our students sometimes find it useful to have those software to practice what they are learning. This is optional. Xero or MYOB generally offer a free trial on their website.
How easy or difficult are the courses?
Our courses are easy to understand and follow. They are suitable for those with any of the following:
- No prior knowledge
- Beginner knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge
How long does it take to complete a course?
This can also depend on the amount of time and effort you put in, and the pace you learn at. Generally our students find the courses can take about 4 weeks part time to complete, and complete them around their other commitments such as work, family and other study. By standard measure, In total you will usually have a maximum of 4-5 months to complete a standard course.
How can I pay for the courses? What payment methods are accepted?
We usually accept payment through any of the following methods: Credit Card, Debit Card, Visa Card, MasterCard. Upon request we may also be able to accept a NZ bank transfer or PayPal.
Can I enrol in more than one course at a time? Or do I have to finish one before the other?
Yes, you can enrol in more than one course at a time. Many of our students are also doing this and choosing to study more than one course at a time. You do not have to finish a course before moving on to the other.
Is there a specified number of hours each week to complete the course?
No. We provide a flexible online study platform, therefore there are no fixed or specified hours per week to complete the course. Depending on how fast you want to learn, you can put in whatever hours you wish to learn. Some students study faster such as 10-15 hours a week, and others take it slower, such as about 2-4 hours a week part time.
Do I have to pass any tests?
Most of our courses have a quiz component. We have designed these to test a learner’s comprehension of a topic.
When do you receive a certificate?
Most of our courses allow your digital certificate to be automatically generated online. Where a digital copy is manually requested this can take up to 7 working days. If you are ordering a printed certificate at an additional cost, this can take 2-4 weeks depending on various factors.
Do you offer face to face appointments?
Auckland College is an online learning provider and uses a modern online classroom. We are a well known online learning provider that has been providing courses for over 5 years now to many students locally and internationally. So, instead of offering face to face appointments, we have a great online campus and online service. Our online system has everything you need to start learning. Easy!
