Welcome the new branch of chemistry

A new class of golden fullerene structures was discovered by Professor Schwerdtfeger, acting head of Institute of the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study together with PhD student Lukas Trombach.

This is a significant discovery since previous studies have not considered dual fullerenes when looking at gold clusters.
