Fighting Infections, Cancers and HIV

A protein called biofilm was identified to help fight serious infections in elderly, cancer, HIV and cystic fibrosis patients. Massey professor of microbiology Professor Bernd Rehm found a way to strip the protective layer away so the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa can be attacked and stop it from taking a hold or spreading.
